An Encounter of Being and Community in Mission

April 24, 2016

Last April 18-19, six (6) of us perpetually professed and considered young in the religious life (sisters who are 1-5 year-old as perpetually professed) had an encounter and integration session at Mater Dei Community Vocation Promotion Office, MRH Compound, Quezon City.  We were accompanied by Sisters Thelma Barbarona FI and Felisa Molina FI who also served as facilitators of the said gathering.  It was an occasion for us to share our respective personal realities- our being, joys and sorrows, struggles and challenges in living our religious apostolic life as consecrated women in the Church and world.  The encounter was also a graced opportunity to strengthen fraternal relationship and friendship among us and sense of body in mission; to encourage one another to continue growing in our relationship with Jesus as the center of our life and mission and to pray for one another.  I was indeed a meaningful moment to experience union of hearts and to affirm the truth that what truly binds us as sisters in the Lord and keeps us motivated to carry on the mission is God’s faithful, unconditional and merciful love for all of us.
