First vows of Esther, Celina, Cíntia and Alicia

July 7, 2016

On July 5, the day in which the Congregation gratefully remembers the person of Father Miguel de San José Herranz, the Jesuit priest who accompanied and helped Mother Candida in founding the Congregation, the novices — Esther Sanz of Spain, Cíntia Malaquias of Brazil, Celina Chimeno of Argentina and Alicia Romero of Colombia — made the profession of first vows in Argentina, during which they shared the joy of the call to belong to God by being Daughters of Jesus and their desire to respond by committing themselves to chastity, poverty and obedience in the manner of Jesus.
The celebration was simple, leaving a profound trace of familiarity with the Lord, of bonds with Him, woven from the affectionate presence of many people who have accompanied and accompany from their different ways our sisters, and bonds woven from a distance, in fraternity, in union, in universality, in the congregational body.
Let us pray for them, for their faithfulness in loving the Lord and in wishing to resemble Jesus by offering their lives according to the motto of their consecration:
“To resemble Him as a son resembles his father”.
