On September 6, Iris Altagracia Gonzalez, the new Novice Mistress, arrived in Córdoba (Argentina). She was welcomed by the Provincial Superior of Andean America, Marlene Serrano, and by her new community, although the novices of the second year are in the apostolic experience. To thank her for her generosity and also to thank Sonia Mª Soares for years of self-denial, the Jesuit Marcelo Amaro celebrated with our sisters a very touching Eucharist. From Cordoba he writes: “We thank the Lord for Iris and for her willingness to accept this task knowing that it is a challenging mission. We pray that she may be a joyful companion to the novices and that she may be given the graces she needs as she begins her service to help our sisters become true Daughters of Jesus. We are also grateful for the service of Sonia Maria Soares da Rocha, who for 12 years gave herself to formation, and we pray for her in her new task so that she may continue to be an instrument of the Lord.”
