Platform of ACTION for Laudato Si ‘

November 26, 2021

In her letter nº 21 to all the Daughters of Jesus, our Superior General shared some resonances of the  Pope’s message of Sunday, November 14, on the occasion of the Fifth World Day of the Poor, “born as a fruit of the Jubilee of Mercy”.

The Pope tells us in his message: “Jesus reminds you that the first poor person is Him, the poorest among the poor, of the lonely, discriminated against, and abandoned people…”

He considered, says Graciela, the invitation of our Determination: To follow closely Jesus Christ who chose poverty for himself. To this Jesus, the poorest among the poor, we wish to follow and resemble Him. Becoming their disciples implies the option of not accumulating treasures on earth, it requires the availability to free ourselves from any bond that prevents us from achieving true happiness and recognizing what is true.

The cry of the poor has to question us worldwide in many ways because this comes to our homes more and more. If poverty was a reality in our world, with the pandemic, this reality became more acute and deeper. The causes multiplied and the conditions that leave people in poverty, sometimes extreme, that which does not help the human being to grow and live in the dignity of a child of God, increased. The Spirit is the same and leads us as Church, as RL, as humanity. 1

At the Angelus of that day, Pope Francis also reminded us that registration is open for the Laudato Si’ Platform, which promotes integral ecology. Learn more about it and register your community, family, parish, group,… Because today the path is made together. Do you dare?
