After a profound 12-year process, the land of Vietnam has borne its first fruits with the perpetual profession of Sisters Rosa and Ana Nguyen, marking a significant milestone in the history of the Congregation.
Rosa Nguyen Rosa Nguyen, was born on March 10, 1986 in the province of Binh Thuan, in the southeast of Vietnam, Rosa is the youngest of a large family with 8 brothers and 2 older sisters. His journey to perpetual vows began on March 19, 2012 as an aspirant in Ho Chi Minh City. After passing through different stages, it culminated on February 2, 2024 in the Parish of Hope.
During her training, Rosa not only studied theology at the De La Salle Seminary in Ho Chi Minh City, but also played important roles, from being an assistant at the Aspirants’ House to actively contributing to the parish of Dan Tru in the Diocese of Bac Ninh.
Ana Nguyen was born on February 15, 1986 in Da Nang. Ana comes from a family where devotion is shared, since her older sister belongs to the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres. Following the same path, Ana pronounced her perpetual vows together with Rosa in the same ceremony in the Parish of Hope.
Ana’s journey included studies in Theology, followed by a continued dedication to pre-school education at Hong Bang University in Ho Chi Minh City. Her commitment to Mother Candida’s Integral Christian Education has led her to serve where it is most needed in Vietnam.

This milestone not only represents a personal accomplishment for Rosa y Anna It also symbolizes the progressive integration of Mother Candida’s charism and the spirit of the Congregation into the local Vietnamese culture . A tangible reflection of this process is the inspiration they both provide by reciting the vow to obey the call “to go anywhere in the world”.
By embracing spiritual communion with the Daughters of Jesus throughout the world and with those around them, Rosa y Ana expressed theirgratitude to God, to the Congregation for their acceptance and formation, and to the sisters for their constant accompaniment. Their experience reveals the communion and joy of belonging to a universal family filled with God’s love.
In this moment of thanksgiving, we remember the sisters who silently contributed to its formation, paying tribute to the recently deceased Edelmira Sanchez FI, and to Ines Ma FI and Fatima Wang FI, who continue to guide them. who continue to guide them.

May the perpetual profession of Rosa and Ana be a beacon of inspiration for the Daughters of Jesus in initial formation, urging them to work hard in the direction of the Integral Christian Education of Mother Candida. May the Congregation continue to serve with devotion in the places where it is most needed in Vietnam, thus fulfilling Mother Candida’s call to “go to the ends of the earth in search of souls”.
Graciela, in her 34th letter, shares the happiness that these vows mean:
On February 2, the Day of Consecrated Life, the following junior sisters made their perpetual profession in Vietnam Rosa Nguyen y Ana Nguyen . It was a very special holiday in Ho Chi Minh City. And this marks a new phase in the history of the Congregation, since Rosa y Ana are the first fully incorporated Daughters of Jesus in this country. We thank God for them and continue to pray for the incarnation of the charism in this culture.
