The Synod process in Japan

April 5, 2022

Synodality denotes the particular style that qualifies the life and mission of the Church. The aim is to provide an opportunity for the entire People of God to discern together how to move forward on the path towards being a more synodal Church in the long-term.

This procedure has four phases and we continue in the first one: “Diocesan Phase”. As a Congregation we have worked to offer the UISG/USG our input in a document that has input from all.

The Indian Pacific province, Japan in particular, has already had two sessions of reflection and discernment. Flor Florece, FI has invited International Community leaders Peter Joy-Hudson (India) and Raymond Gasu (Ghana) to share their experience to give an insight into what this process looks like from that part of the world. You can read about it on their website

As it says synod.va: “Let´s walk together as a Church with the Holy Spirit”.
