Lent is a time<\/span><\/span> of change,<\/span> of coming to realize<\/span> what<\/span> helps<\/span> and<\/span> what<\/span> does not lead us<\/span> to the encounter with<\/span> God and<\/span> with our brothers.<\/span> It’s<\/span> a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME opportunity<\/span> and gives us<\/span> a LIFETIME OF OPPORTUNITIES<\/span>. Therefore,<\/span> Lent<\/span> is<\/span> when we make<\/span> exterior changes<\/span> that reflect our<\/span> inner changes<\/span>. Because something<\/span> new is being born<\/span> and we want to<\/span> choose that<\/span> new thing:<\/span> LIFE.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Today<\/span><\/span>, Tuesday, March 1<\/span>, of the Third<\/span> Week of Lent<\/span>, we begin a new<\/span>, more<\/span> current<\/span>, more modern,<\/span> more<\/span> vital<\/span> way<\/span> among all<\/span>. Our<\/span> new international<\/span> web<\/span> wants to be<\/span> a space from<\/span> all and for all<\/span>, an ecclesial<\/span> space,<\/span> an Ignatian<\/span> space,<\/span> a space for<\/span> the<\/span> family of<\/span> Mother Candida<\/span>. Here we are<\/span> ready to walk<\/span> together<\/span> and to feel the<\/span> apostolic body of<\/span> the Daughters of Jesus<\/span> which journeys through 19 countries<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

So many<\/span><\/span> experiences in our history<\/span> in the month of<\/span> March<\/span>…<\/span>: Maria Antonia<\/span> Bandres<\/span> FI,<\/span> patroness of our<\/span> formation, was born;<\/span> we opened<\/span> schools,<\/span> we reached<\/span> new countries<\/span>, we started<\/span> different services<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

And<\/span><\/span> our<\/span> Church celebrates<\/span> March<\/span> 19<\/span>, the day<\/span> of St. Joseph<\/span>. In addition, the<\/span> International Women’s Day<\/span>, World Water Day<\/span> and<\/span> many<\/span> more<\/span> important dates.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We gather history<\/span><\/span>, the lives of others<\/span>, to learn.<\/span> We welcome the present<\/span> with enthusiasm,<\/span> realism and<\/span> faith and we<\/span> look to the future<\/span> with<\/span> hope.<\/span> So<\/span> together<\/span> we pray Psalm 25<\/span> to the Father:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Make known to me your ways, LORD;<\/span><\/p>\n

teach me your paths.<\/span><\/p>\n

Guide me by your fidelity and teach me,<\/span><\/p>\n

for you are God my savior\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember your compassion and your mercy, <\/span><\/p>\n

O LORD, for they are ages old\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember me according to your mercy,<\/span><\/p>\n

because of your goodness, LORD.<\/span><\/p>\n

Good and upright is the LORD,<\/span><\/p>\n

therefore he shows sinners the way,<\/span><\/p>\n

He guides the humble in righteousness,<\/span><\/p>\n

and teaches the humble his way.<\/span><\/p>\n
