C\u00e1ndida, de qui\u00e9n fue la idea: \u00bfde ella?, \u00bfdel P. Herranz\u2026?\">and they ask M. Candida, whose idea was it: hers?, of Father Herranz &#8230;?\u00a0<\/span><em>&#8220;And she always answered: &#8216;neither mine nor his, exclusively, but of both and at the same time&#8217;. Father [Herranz] expressed himself in the same way several times on this matter.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0This is how Father Garc\u00eda Alcalde an exceptional witness, relates our\u00a0<span title=\"amanecer congregacional.\">congregational dawn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">Our fontal inspiration, summed up in our very first source texts, springs from the converging experiences, in the Spirit, of Juana Josefa and Fr. Herranz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\"><br \/><\/span><span title=\"Juana Josefa, 23 a\u00f1os, resuelta y decidida: \u00abYo, s\u00f3lo para Dios\u00bb.\">Juana Josefa, 23 years old, resolute and determined: <strong><em>\u00abI am for God alone\u00bb.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">But perhaps she is not clear about how &#8230; She, very much aware, asserts that she feels the presence of Mary <em>\u00abfrom the age of four\u00bb.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">It is then legitimate to venture that she would pray very consciously from her grandmother&#8217;s lap:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\"><strong><em>\u00abMy Lord Jesus Christ, Creator, Father and Redeemer of mine\u00a0&#8230;\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"En Jes\u00fas totaliza su Dios.\">In Jesus, she sums up her God.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Y \u00e9ste sentir de Jes\u00fas, se le anida en el hond\u00f3n del alma para siempre: ser\u00e1 el ADN del carisma congregacional: Hijas de Jes\u00fas.\">And this feeling of Jesus is nested in the depths of her soul forever: it will be the DNA of the congregational charism:\u00a0Daughters of Jesus.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Es el Esp\u00edritu el que la sigue conduciendo.\">It is the Spirit who continues to lead her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">And the years go by.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Valladolid;\">Valladolid:\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"ya tiene 21-22 a\u00f1os, entre quehaceres dom\u00e9sticos, persona de oraci\u00f3n vital, sigue buscando, sin hallar tal vez, el querer de Dios en su vida.\">she is already 21-22 years old; amid her domestic chores, a person of vital prayer, she continues searching, without finding perhaps, the will of God in her life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\"><br \/>\u00a0<br \/><\/span><span title=\"Y el P. Miguel, Herranz, para los cercanos, en la plenitud de su madurez, anda tambi\u00e9n inquieto.\">And Fr. Miguel Herranz, somewhere nearby, in the fullness of his maturity, is also restless.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"La sociedad espa\u00f1ola atraviesa un largo desierto de laicidad hostil a la Iglesia de Jes\u00fas.\">Spanish society is going through a long desert of secularism hostile to the Church of Jesus.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"La Compa\u00f1\u00eda, en el exilio.\">The Company, in exile.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Ha tenido que dejar su comunidad de Le\u00f3n y refugiarse en su familia.\">He has had to leave his community in Le\u00f3n and take refuge in his family.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Le duele Espa\u00f1a: han llegado hasta prohibir el Catecismo en las escuelas.\">He grieves for Spain: they have even banned the Catechism in schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">Well &#8230; he is willing to found a Congregation of qualified Teachers, who may fill up the teaching positions and thus be able to evangelize in the school.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Le parece que la educaci\u00f3n es la mejor inversi\u00f3n.\">He thinks that education is the best investment.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Por ah\u00ed discurr\u00eda nuestro P. Herranz mientras ejerc\u00eda su ministerio sacerdotal en la iglesia de S. Felipe de la Penitencia, en aquel altar lateral donde ten\u00eda su confesonario.\">That was where his thoughts must have been while he was ministering in the church of \u201c<\/span>San Felipe de la Penitencia\u201d<span lang=\"EN\">, on that side altar where he had his confessional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">There Juana Josefa would come to the confessional, her only alternative then to communicate, to clarify what she\u00a0is feeling\u00a0in her heart that she can hardly express.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Y el P. Herranz escucha... y siente tambi\u00e9n.\">And Father Herranz listens &#8230; and feels likewise.\u00a0<\/span><span title=\"Hombre de fe, acostumbrado a \u201creflectir\u201d sobre sus mociones y sentimientos  para \u201cbuscar y hallar a Dios en todas las cosas\u201d.\">Man of faith, accustomed to &#8220;reflecting&#8221;
