{"id":29105,"date":"2019-09-11T15:50:34","date_gmt":"2019-09-11T13:50:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nueva.hijasdejesus.org\/comunication-of-the-gc18-determination\/"},"modified":"2019-09-11T15:50:34","modified_gmt":"2019-09-11T13:50:34","slug":"comunication-of-the-gc18-determination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/comunication-of-the-gc18-determination\/","title":{"rendered":"Comunication of the GC18 Determination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Determination and 6 calls were very well received by the sisters of the Indico-Pacific (Bangladesh, Japan and the Philippines).\u00a0 The Provincial Superior then, Sr. Thelma Barbarona, went to Bangladesh and Japan, accompanied by the Provincial Counselor Leoly Quitorio, to transmit both the experience of GC XVIII as well as the documents.\u00a0 In Japan they were helped by Yolanda Brandolin who was a \u201ccongregada\u201d to the General Congregation.\u00a0\u00a0 In the Philippines, those who went to Rome for the GC were on hand to help facilitate the sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">In the three regions of the Province, there was a feeling that the sisters were heard, and that we are going back to what is essential in our religious life.\u00a0 For some, \u201cit is an invitation to evaluate our life, see what is really essential, being anchored strongly in Jesus.\u00a0 It gives us opportunities to exercise real discernment, to think a thousand times before we act.\u201d\u00a0 Others talked about \u201cgoing back to the radicalism of our vow of poverty.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">All were happy that the lay were involved as the six calls were discussed.\u00a0 It is a movement into real partnership, and there are planned schedules for the transmission of the same to the lay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The challenge that everyone is aware of is that now we have the document in our hands, now that the General Congregation has had our voices and come up with this Determination, how do we put this into life, and be, as Mother Foundress wished us to be, \u201cauthentic Daughters of Jesus?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 The Determination and 6 calls were very well received by the sisters of the Indico-Pacific (Bangladesh, Japan and the Philippines).\u00a0 The Provincial Superior then, Sr. Thelma Barbarona, went to Bangladesh and Japan, accompanied by the Provincial Counselor Leoly Quitorio, to transmit both the experience of GC XVIII as well as the documents.\u00a0 In Japan [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":28,"featured_media":10050,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"categories":[412],"tags":[440],"class_list":["post-29105","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-indian-pacific"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
