{"id":29738,"date":"2022-01-29T17:22:01","date_gmt":"2022-01-29T16:22:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nueva.hijasdejesus.org\/world-day-of-consecrated-life-2022\/"},"modified":"2022-01-29T17:22:01","modified_gmt":"2022-01-29T16:22:01","slug":"world-day-of-consecrated-life-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/world-day-of-consecrated-life-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"World Day of Consecrated Life 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>CALLED, AS A CONSECRATED LIFE, TO BE SYNODAL CHURCH<\/p>\n<p>Today, <strong>February 2<\/strong>, the feast of the <strong>Presentation of Jesus in the Temple<\/strong>, the Church also celebrates the <strong>Day of Consecrated Life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We celebrate our feast this day because <strong>Jesus is the Consecrated of the Father par excellence<\/strong>, the one who has come into the world to do his will.<\/p>\n<p>This Day is an <strong>opportunity for<\/strong> Christians <strong>to give thanks to God<\/strong> for this way of life in the Church, which is a gift, with the diversity of its charisms; an opportunity to encourage <strong>the People of God to know and love<\/strong> the lives of so many men and women who have given themselves to the service of others in the style of Jesus; and,\u00a0 of course, so that consecrated persons themselves <strong>may be grateful<\/strong> for our lives,<strong> God&#8217;s fidelity to us every day <\/strong>and may become <strong>more aware of our particular mission<\/strong> in the Church and in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal <strong><em>Jo\u00e3o Braz de Aviz<\/em><\/strong>, prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, and Monsignor<strong><em> Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Carballo,<\/em><\/strong> the secretary of that dicastery, write us a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vaticannews.va\/es\/vaticano\/news\/2022-01\/jornada-de-la-vida-consagrada-llamado-a-ser-una-iglesia-sinodal.html\">letter on the occasion of this XXVI World Day of Consecrated Life <\/a>and encourage us to reflect on <strong>participation<\/strong>, in full connection with the synodal journey in which we are inserted.<\/p>\n<p>The Synod asks us a <strong>question<\/strong> that it considers <strong>fundamental<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>In a synodal Church, which proclaims the Gospel, everyone &#8220;walks together&#8221;:<\/em><strong><em> How is this &#8220;walking together in one&#8217;s own particular Church&#8221; carried out today? What steps does the Spirit invite us to take to grow in our &#8220;walking together&#8221;?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With her, they are inviting us to <strong>recover the good experiences<\/strong> we have of &#8220;walking together&#8221; so that, <strong>re-read<\/strong> in-depth and in the light of the Spirit, <strong>they illuminate<\/strong> the path that God wants to make with us.<\/p>\n<p>For this synodality to become a reality, we all need to put into operation <strong>capabilities that we had\u00a0which had been a little asleep<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal <em>Jo\u00e3o Braz de Aviz<\/em> and Monsignor <em>Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Carballo<\/em> encourage us to <strong>participate<\/strong>\u00a0so <strong>that no one is left out<\/strong>, that none of us feel that &#8220;this is not for me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Graciela, our Superior General,<\/strong><\/em><a href=\"index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2330;en-camino-sinodal&amp;catid=12&amp;Itemid=108&amp;lang=es\"> invited us to participate in the Synod<\/a> and today, on the Day of Consecrated Life, the Church does so again. Let us not be left behind in this <strong>challenge of listening<\/strong>, sharing, and discerning <strong>to discover God&#8217;s will<\/strong> for the people of God of which we are part.
