{"id":29777,"date":"2022-03-05T21:43:05","date_gmt":"2022-03-05T20:43:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nueva.hijasdejesus.org\/a-little-more-inside\/"},"modified":"2022-03-05T21:43:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-05T20:43:05","slug":"a-little-more-inside","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/a-little-more-inside\/","title":{"rendered":"A Little More Inside"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Since January 24, our itinerancy was activated again, leaving the <strong>Dominican Republic<\/strong>, almost <strong>Haiti<\/strong>, because we were in <strong>Pedro Santana<\/strong>, up there in a community called <strong><em>Bartolo<\/em><\/strong>, bordering our beloved Haiti, loving and serving with the De La Salle Brothers in a beautiful boarding school, in the basin of the Joca River, a beautiful agroecological school, with some great guys and a fairytale landscape. Beautiful that!<\/p>\n<p>On the 24th we set out, in the name of the whole Congregation, on our way to the Amazon. Specifically, to the Peruvian part, to accompany as <strong>REIBA volunteers<\/strong> the <strong><em>Achuar<\/em><\/strong> ethnic group, together with the <em>Laurite nuns<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>We arrived in Lima, met those who will be our companions in the <em><strong>Wijint<\/strong><\/em> <strong>mission,\u00a0<\/strong>and made the life plan together. They soaked us even more in their enthusiasm for such a beautiful <strong>project<\/strong>: <strong>a boarding school within the native <\/strong><em><strong>Achuar<\/strong><\/em> community.\u00a0 It was a whole month, used to regularize our documentation. With our teacher <em><strong>Yuu Taish<\/strong><\/em>, virtually, we continue learning the language and practicing with two girls of this ethnic group who are in Lima doing their university studies.<\/p>\n<p>On February 26, we took one more step and went from Lima to <strong>Tarapoto<\/strong>, already jungle&#8230; Then to <strong>Yurimaguas<\/strong>, where we met all the pastoral ministers of our Vicariate and our friendly bishop <strong><em>Jes\u00fas Mar\u00eda<\/em><\/strong>, who welcomed us with great affection and presented us with the challenges of this &#8220;dear Amazon&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>For two days <strong>we have been &#8220;a little further&#8221; in our mission<\/strong>, as we arrived crossing three large and beautiful rivers: Huallaga, Pastaza, and Mara\u00f1\u00f3n to the community of San Lorenzo, which is three days away, also by boat, from our final destination: <em><strong>Wijint<\/strong><\/em>. Here we will stay about 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, the heart overflows with enthusiasm, joy, and <strong>desire to be in the midst of those beloved people<\/strong>.
