{"id":29831,"date":"2022-04-25T12:25:23","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T10:25:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nueva.hijasdejesus.org\/antonita-a-life-of-total-dedication\/"},"modified":"2022-04-25T12:25:23","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T10:25:23","slug":"antonita-a-life-of-total-dedication","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/antonita-a-life-of-total-dedication\/","title":{"rendered":"Anto\u00f1ita, a life of total dedication"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we celebrate<strong> the feast of Blessed <em>Mar\u00eda Antonia Bandr\u00e9s<\/em>, patroness of the Daughters of Jesus in initial formation<\/strong>. <a href=\"index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=1363;blessed-maria-antonia-bandres-courage-and-love&amp;catid=13&amp;lang=en&amp;Itemid=142\">Anto\u00f1ita<\/a>, as we affectionately remember her, was distinguished by a deep spiritual life uncommon for her age, by apostolic zeal, humility, charity, love for Jesus and the Virgin, manifested in many small gestures, obedience and a spirit of sacrifice. He took a lively interest in the poor and the needy and carried out, on the outskirts of Toulouse, and in particular with the women workers of the trade union, a work of evangelisation and social work that was rare at that time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the age of 11, <strong>Jesus came into her life<\/strong> and, even as an adolescent, moved her to go out of herself, to grow in generosity, to share what she had. Her joy and commitment were manifested wherever she was. This love helped her to grow in sensitivity, attention, humility and care for others, always seeking to be a help, a stimulus, to spread joy. Anto\u00f1ita is an example of courage and love. Her life was short, but it has an impact on those who discover her.<\/p>\n<p>For all these reasons, <strong>Mar\u00eda Antonia Bandr\u00e9s now guides the steps of the Daughters of Jesus in initial formation<\/strong>. Her testimony is an example of commitment that invites you to fight for what you are passionate about.
