With members from all over the world, they aim<strong> to build bridges and networks<\/strong>, to create new strategies and synergies that enable women religious to communicate across geographical distances and linguistic and cultural differences, to be in communion with each other and to build together a global community. The UISG is made up of<strong> 1,903 member<\/strong> <strong>Superiors General<\/strong>, whose general houses are spread over <strong>97 countries of the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The UISG assembly is held<strong> every three years<\/strong> and for the first time follows an itinerary with four meetings to discuss <strong>vulnerability and synodality.<\/strong> Almost<strong> 600 superiors<\/strong> from<strong> 60 countries<\/strong> and <strong>12 different languages<\/strong> took part.<\/p>\n<p>The first phase took place in two online meetings on <strong>14 March and 4 April 2022<\/strong> from 13:00 to 15:30.<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>2 to 6 May<\/strong>, the <strong>second phase of the UISG Plenary Assembly<\/strong> took place in Rome under the theme<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uisg.org\/files\/allegatodocumento\/2022\/programma_long_eng_copia.pdf\"> &#8220;Embracing Vulnerability on the Synodal Journey&#8221;<\/a>. It is one of the most important events in the life of the Union and is reserved exclusively for its members: the Superiors General of religious congregations.<em><strong> Graciela Francovig FI<\/strong><\/em>, our Superior General, participated in this meeting. This phase began with &#8220;vulnerability&#8221;, followed by &#8220;moving towards a synodal process&#8221;, &#8220;religious life and synodality&#8221;, &#8220;radical welcome: the way to the peripheries&#8221; and finally &#8220;calls to transformation&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> final phase<\/strong> will be an online meeting on <strong>11 July 2022<\/strong> from 13:00 to 15:30 (Rome time).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since 1965, the UISG has provided a meeting place for Superiors General to meet in an ecclesiastical context.
