We are before you, Holy Spirit,<\/p>\n\n
beginning this new year that you are giving us.<\/p>\n\n
You who are our true counselor:<\/p>\n\n
come to us, support us,<\/p>\n\n
enters our hearts.<\/p>\n\n
Show us the way, show us how to reach the goal.<\/p>\n\n
Keeps us from losing our way <\/p>\n\n
as weak and sinful people.<\/p>\n\n
Do not allow <\/p>\n\n
ignorance leads us down false paths.<\/p>\n\n
Grant us the gift of discernment, <\/p>\n\n
not to let our actions be guided by our own <\/p>\n\n
prejudices and false considerations.<\/p>\n\n
Lead us to unity in you, <\/p>\n\n
so that we do not stray from the path<\/p>\n\n
of truth and justice,<\/p>\n\n
but that on our earthly pilgrimage<\/p>\n\n
let us strive to attain eternal life.<\/p>\n\n
We ask this of you,<\/p>\n\n
that works at all times and in all places,<\/p>\n\n
in communion with the Father and the Son<\/p>\n\n
forever and ever. Amen.<\/p>\n\n
