{"id":43935,"date":"2024-08-19T12:10:06","date_gmt":"2024-08-19T10:10:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/?p=43935"},"modified":"2024-08-10T12:10:49","modified_gmt":"2024-08-10T10:10:49","slug":"aportaciones-de-la-uisg-usg-al-sinodo-sobre-la-sinodalidad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/aportaciones-de-la-uisg-usg-al-sinodo-sobre-la-sinodalidad\/","title":{"rendered":"Contributions of the UISG-USG to the Synod on Synodality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The General Secretariat of the Synod specifically asked for the experience and wisdom of religious women and men on <strong>&#8220;How to be a Church in mission&#8221;<\/strong>.\nIn response to this request, the UISG (International Union of Superiors General) and the USG (Union of Superiors General) joined together to provide a process through which religious institutes would offer their input<sup data-fn=\"7418a6b3-45b9-437c-bf3c-b51c00faa55d\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"7418a6b3-45b9-437c-bf3c-b51c00faa55d-link\" href=\"#7418a6b3-45b9-437c-bf3c-b51c00faa55d\">1<\/a><\/sup>. <\/p>\n\n<p>They posed the following <strong>questions to the general governments:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Co-responsibility for mission<\/strong> is an important aspect of a synodal Church.\nWhat has been your experience of growing in co-responsibility for mission? \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>in your congregation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>with the lay people with whom they work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>within the diocesan structures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What <strong>specific suggestions<\/strong> would you offer for greater co-responsibility for mission within diocesan and\/or local Church structures?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is your <strong>congregation&#8217;<\/strong>s community <strong>discernment <\/strong>and decision-making <strong>process <\/strong>?\nIs community discernment part of your congregational tradition or is it something new? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In light of<strong> participation, authority and governance<\/strong>,\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What has worked well for your congregation?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are still growth edges or continuous learning spaces?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do their <strong>structures and different roles<\/strong>,\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>facilitate co-responsibility for the mission?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>impede co-responsibility for the mission?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Synod Synthesis Report considers it urgent for the Church to address <strong>women&#8217;s participation in the Church<\/strong>.\nWhat particular wisdom and experience about women&#8217;s participation in the Church would you specifically offer to the Synod? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are there any examples of <strong>how the richness of cultural, racial and\/or ethnic diversity influenced your<\/strong> congregation&#8217; <strong>s path of stewardship for mission<\/strong>?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What <strong>ministries and participatory bodies of the Church can be renewed or introduced<\/strong> to better express this co-responsibility.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>The Commission has synthesized the <strong>responses received into five key themes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I. Stewardship for the mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>II. Authority, governance and participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>III. Unity in diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IV. Women&#8217;s participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V.
