The pilgrimage of hope of the FI Youth of America continues its route in the footsteps of Mother Candida in Spain. On its second day, the group experienced intense moments of encounter, memory and spirituality, walking through significant places in the life of Juana Josefa. <\/p>\n\n

In the morning in Valladolid<\/strong>, they visited El Rosarillo, where they contemplated the altarpiece, which today is in a chapel in the form of a jewel box, commissioned by the Daughters of Jesus, to keep this altarpiece that is a jewel for the Congregation. In front of this altarpiece Mother Candida had a profound filial experience that led her to found the Congregation. They also passed by the church where the altarpiece was originally located, a space she frequented to pray, and which still preserves the air of recollection that inspired her devotion. <\/p>\n\n

The young people also walked through the streets that keep the history of his daily life, stopping in front of the houses where he lived, including the one located in the Chancery<\/strong>, which they contemplated from the outside with emotion and respect.<\/p>\n\n

During the route of this day, they were able to stop at the “Iglesia del Rosarillo”, a church that has been closed for more than 50 years, and where you can see a painting of the Holy Family. In this place, a significant moment of the day took place when the group from the Dominican Republic gave the Pilgrims’ Cross of Hope to all the young people. A gesture full of meaning and fraternity, with which they invited everyone to receive it as hope for the world. <\/p>\n\n

In the afternoon, the road took them to Burgos<\/strong>, where they visited the parish church, the fountain and the street where he lived, as well as the Christ of the Cathedral, silent witness of his searches and longings.<\/p>\n\n

At the end of the day, the group arrived in San Sebastian, the<\/strong> city where they will rest to continue the pilgrimage with hearts full of gratitude, sharing life and renewing the desire to be, like Mother Candida, pilgrims of hope.<\/p>\n\n
