{"id":50839,"date":"2025-09-23T19:44:52","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T17:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/todays-voices-testimonies-on-perpetual-vows-ii\/"},"modified":"2025-09-23T21:19:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-23T19:19:43","slug":"todays-voices-testimonies-on-perpetual-vows-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/todays-voices-testimonies-on-perpetual-vows-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Today&#8217;s voices: testimonies on perpetual vows (II)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the first part of this series of testimonies we recalled<a href=\"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/anniversary-of-perpetual-vows-of-st-candida-and-first-daughters-of-jesus\/\">the initial journey of St. Candida and the first Daughters of Jesus<\/a>, and listened to the <a href=\"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/en\/todays-voices-testimonies-on-perpetual-vows-i\/\">voices of those who began their journey as postulants, novices and juniors<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Now we want to <strong>deepen the experience of those who have said their &#8220;forever&#8221;<\/strong> and made their perpetual vows, maintaining their fidelity over the years. These are sisters of different ages, cultures and times of incorporation into the Congregation. <\/p>\n\n<p>We asked them what it means for them to live their perpetual vows today, how this consecration gives them meaning and strength for the mission, and what they discover about God&#8217;s call in their daily lives. Their words show us that the &#8220;forever&#8221; remains current, fruitful and full of hope. <\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Esther Sanz, Spain.<\/h5>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>&#8220;For me, making my perpetual vows was a great, great joy. When I say &#8220;yes&#8221;, I want to answer God&#8217;s call as one of the Daughters of Jesus, I say it with greater certainty, with greater fullness. Moreover, my longing becomes a reality through the acceptance of the Congregation, practiced together with my sisters within the Congregation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anna Nguyen, Vietnam<\/h5>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>&#8220;For me, the final vows were a special and deeply moving moment. They made me understand deeply that God loved me and was calling me. In these vows, I gave everything so that, by belonging to the Congregation, I could belong more fully to Christ. I lived it with great enthusiasm because of all the meaning it had for me to publicly express the desire to &#8220;live forever the following of Jesus&#8221; in the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus. The missionary sense of my life had been very much internalized in me since I was a teenager and in our Congregation I felt that I could live it&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rosario Marina, Argentina<\/h5>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>&#8220;What it meant for me to make perpetual vows in the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus was to generously give a definitive yes to Jesus and the extension of His Kingdom, from this charism, with my gifts and poverty, trusting in Him and the protection of our Immaculate Mother.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/5-1024x726.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-50822 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/5-980x695.png 980w, https:\/\/hijasdejesus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/5-480x341.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>These testimonies remind us that the &#8220;forever&#8221; of St. Candida and the first Daughters of Jesus continues to echo in the life of every sister today.
