The closing of the 19th General Congregation will take place on May 22nd. The GC delegates have determined this date by means of a vote and with an absolute majority, as indicated in the Rules of the GC.
In this final phase, we invite you to intensify our prayer and communion with all the Hijas de Jesus gathered in Rome, so that the Spirit may continue enlightening these last moments of the GC XIX process.
On the last day, the Superior General gives a message to the whole Congregation in which she highlights the fundamental points of the process lived and sends the GC Sister delegates to be witnesses and impulses to the calls that the Spirit has raised during this General Congregation and that will guide the journey of the coming years.
The General Congregation will close at 6:30 PM on May 22, with a thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration and sending. It will be presided over by Fr. Claudio Paul, SJ, from Brazil, General Counselor of the Society of Jesus.
Then each sister will return to her province of origin, taking with her the calls and orientations this encounter has fostered for the whole Congregation.
