Last July we announced that all the provinces of the Daughters of Jesus would begin to experience a very special moment: the transmissions of General Congregation XIX, held in Rome last May.
During these weeks, each province and region gathered sisters and laity of the Mother Candida Family to listen together to what the Spirit gave us at GC XIX, to welcome it with gratitude and to prepare ourselves to walk in fidelity and hope.
Today we can say with joy that all the provinces have already lived this time of transmission, and each Daughter of Jesus has received the Determination that will mark our congregational course for the next six years.
A new step: sharing the experience
We want to begin to give voice to how this experience has been lived in each province. The resonances, the shared prayer, the fraternity and all that it arouses in the Daughters of Jesus to receive this Determination; to approach what was lived during GC XIX and to prepare to make the Determination come alive in the next six years.
During these weeks, we will go through the experiences of each Province: the shared joy and the multiple ways in which this moment was expressed. The universality of our Congregation is reflected in the richness of the different cultures where we are present, with their particularities, sensitivities and ways of celebrating the faith. This diversity, united in the same charism, broadens our vision and helps us to recognize how the Spirit continues to work in every corner of the world.
A road that has just begun
This document is of great importance for our life and mission. In the future, we will go deeper into the content of the Determination, the invitations it poses to us and how it challenges us in our being daughters and sisters.
The richness of this time lived in all the provinces reminds us that, even in such diverse contexts and cultures, we are one congregational body, on the way and on mission.
