Transmittal of the CGXIX Determination – Indico-Pacific Province

The Indico-Pacific Province received with joy and gratitude the Determination of the XIX General Congregation (GC XIX) during the months of July to September 2025. The communities of Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Bangladesh participated in meetings that combined prayer, reflection, dialogue and community celebration, strengthening the sense of mission and communion within the Province.

Thailand – Mae Hong Son

From July 22 to 29, the sisters of the community of Thailand lived the transmission of GC XIX under the guidance of Sr. Lynn. Between moments of orientation, silence, prayer and conversation in the Spirit, they received the Determination centered on the call: “I desire to be called Daughters of Jesus”. The experience was lived with humble hearts and deep trust in God, strengthening the conviction to be decisively involved in living what the Congregation has discerned. The day culminated with a community celebration that sealed this time of grace and hope.

Philippines – Panay-Guimaras, Cebu-Mindanao and Metro Manila

In Panay-Guimaras, from August 16-18, the sisters and lay collaborators gathered to reflect on the new call and the updating of Our Own Way of Educating , participating in prayer, dialogue and community discernment. The experience left each participant with a heart overflowing with gratitude, renewing the determination to incarnate the spirit of the Congregation in daily life and apostolic mission.

In Cebu-Mindanao, between August 30 and September 3, the educational communities received the Determination through meetings with the sisters and spaces for Conversations in the Spirit. The experience strengthened hope, deepened the fraternity lived and rekindled the commitment to service and ecological awareness, reinforcing the shared mission in all the houses.

In Metro Manila, from September 6 to 9, the sisters of Mater Dei, TCMJ, Marikina and other communities participated in the transmission of the Determination at the Manresa Retreat House and Manresa College. The combination of prayer, presentations, community reading of the document and sincere dialogue generated a sacred, clarifying and life-giving space of encounter. The experience awakened a renewed desire to live the mission with joy, hope and openness to the Spirit, encouraging all lay collaborators to become active witnesses of the charism of St. Candida Maria de Jesus.

Indonesia – Kuwu

On September 12 and 13, the novitiate community in Indonesia received the Determination in a gathering that included Mass, traditional Manggarai ceremony and prayer for creation. The transmission, facilitated by Sisters Leoly and Thelma, awakened a deep sense of gratitude and openness, inviting us to welcome the call of GC XIX with humility and generosity. Each participant experienced the encounter as a spark of inspiration, recognizing that the Spirit continues to move, gently and powerfully, among them.

Japan – Hayama

On September 19-20, the community of Japan gathered with joy and gratitude to receive the GC XIX Determination. Opening music, prayer and community sharing enriched the understanding of the document, awakening a deep desire to discern where the Spirit is leading the Congregation. The openness of each sister to reflection and dialogue strengthened the determination to live the charism of St. Candida in daily reality, with responsibility, fraternity and faith.

Bangladesh – Utrail

The transmission in Bangladesh was held on September 29 and 30. The community welcomed the Determination with enthusiasm and expectation, participating in spaces of prayer, reflection and community dialogue. The experience paved the way for the call of GC XIX to inspire the life and mission of the community in the coming years, promoting openness, hope and apostolic commitment, rooted in faith and generous service.

The Indian-Pacific Province has lived this process of transmission of the GC XIX Determination as a true time of grace and communion. Each meeting, in its cultural and geographical diversity, has been a concrete expression of the same call: to live from filiation, in fraternity and shared mission. What has been received does not remain in words, but is transformed into life, in daily gestures of hope, in commitment to education, creation and those most in need.
