These days have brought us closer to the reality of the universal Congregation. The different reports and materials provided by each Province have been complemented by dialogues among us. They have been experiential conversations which have helped us know the realities, situations, presences… recognizing the paths we have taken, and also that which have challenged us.
Today we have been presented with the State of the Congregation, based on all of this. It was a day of dialogue and listening, in which we shared the ideal characteristics for the next General Government, in the light of the current State of the Congregation.
With this, we end the initial phase of the GC and begin the election phase.
We will elect the persons who will form the new General Government of the Hijas de Jesus for this time in the world and in the Church.
The elections will take place on the following dates:
May 1: election of the General Superior.
May 3: election of the General Counselors.
It will be a time of deep listening, of being attentive to the Spirit, of desiring to be open to the inspiration and heeding the call of the Spirit.
During this time, we will not have much news updates or communication in order to take care of the discernment process. It is very important that you accompany us with your intense prayers. Please do not forget to pray for us.
