The most immediate preparatory steps towards GC XIX

Apr 3, 2025 | CG XIX, Hijas de Jesús, News, NewsCGXIX

A Synodal Process of Listening and Discernment

In her Circular Letter # 46, Sister Graciela Francovig, Superior General, shared with us the progress of the Preparatory Commission which has been diligently working since March 10:

“We are going through a synodal process of listening and of discernment among ourselves with the 100 postulates that have been received by the Congregation. It is consoling to feel the life of the Body expressed in desires.”

The Prep Com has already proceeded to the synthesis phase, devoting themselves to:

  • Elaboration of the documents
  • Organization of the materials
  • Presentation of concrete proposals

All this work is guided by a fundamental question: What would be most helpful at this time to adequately prepare for the General Congregation XIX?

Get to Know the Experiences of the Preparatory Commission

We asked each member of the Preparatory Commission what this collaboration in the GC process has meant for them and what they expect from the GCXIX.

Attention! We invite you to follow our website and social networks for in the next few days we will be uploading videos where you can listen to their answers and testimonies.

Let us remain united in prayer

A few days before the beginning of the General Congregation XIX, this preparatory work encourages us to remain united in prayer.

“We feel the presence of everyone in prayer. This has helped us so much. Together with the laity and with so many people whom we made it to the mission, we are grateful to the Lord for this experience of grace which He gifts us.” Sr. Graciela Francovig
