A HOPE THAT BECOMES A SERVICE

Day 3 of the Triduum in preparation for the Feast of Mother Candida in the Jubilee of Hope
“The kingdom of God is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.”

Hope is not only an interior consolation.
True hope, like that of Mother Candida, launches us on the road, pushes us to continue working for the Kingdom, even when we lack the strength or motivation. She did not only hope in God: she lived, educated and served with that hope.
“There are times when you run out of reasons to keep doing some things. There are days when only the grace of God sustains the commitment, the vocation, the mission. But we go on. Because there is a calling. Because there is a vineyard. And because, although sometimes we do not see the fruits, God continues to sow with us.
On this third day of the Triduum of Hope, we ask ourselves:
- What motivates me to serve today?
- Where am I in need of special grace to continue?
