On August 8, 9 and 10, the sisters of the Argentina Region joyfully received Graciela Francovig, Superior General of the Daughters of Jesus, to experience with her the transmission of the Determination of General Congregation XIX.
The days were marked by a profound climate of prayer, reflection and fraternity, in which they were able to take a first look at this valuable document that will illuminate our steps as a congregation in the next six years.

The meeting began with a prayer led by Dayse Agretti, Provincial Superior of Andean America, during which each sister received the Determination of GC XIX from the hands of the Superior General, an emotional moment that was lived with a sense of sending and commitment.
During these days, Graciela also recalled the process she went through to arrive at the determination and made a brief introduction; subsequently, each of the sections was studied in depth, in personal readings, in small groups and in plenary sessions.
Feast of St. Candida Maria de Jesus in community
On August 9, they celebrated together the day of St. Candida Maria de Jesus, with a Eucharist full of gratitude and joy. It was a day full of greetings and expressions of affection that arrived from different parts of the world where the Daughters of Jesus are present.
Finally, on Sunday, the community of sisters prepared a very special surprise to celebrate Graciela’s birthday, which was last August 1. They shared a lunch together, sang happy birthday in several languages and above all thanked Graciela for her life and mission, entrusting her life to the protection of our Mother Mary.
The Daughters of Jesus are grateful for the close and simple presence of our Superior General, and for all that was experienced in the approach to determination, which encourages us to continue looking to the future with hope and audacity, rooted in the charism received and open to the calls of God at this time.
