Our songs, today within everyone’s reach.

We care for and share the music that unites us.

As the Communication Team of the Congregation, we continue with the deep desire to share life and resources, to take care of what we are and make it available to everyone. On this path, today we are taking a new and significant step: we are embarking on a project to care for and share our music.

Throughout the years, many songs have been born at different moments of our history: first on vinyl record, then on cassette, on CD, later on MP3 or pen drive. Each technological advance has allowed us to preserve and multiply these songs, many of which continue to accompany our celebrations, meetings, community and personal processes. However, we are also aware that, nowadays, what is not on the Internet, with time, runs the risk of being lost.

Music as a living memory

Our songs are not only sound archives: they are living memory, prayer made melody, words that accompanied steps, searches and decisions. In them resounds the shared history, the faith celebrated and the life given in daily life.

Although many of these songs are already available in the resources section of our website, we know that YouTube is now a medium that facilitates simple, open and lasting access, allowing these songs to reach more people, anywhere in the world, without taking up physical space and with the possibility of being easily shared.

Beatification songs: remembering is going through the heart again

To remember is not only to bring something from the past to the present; to remember is to go through the heart again. It is to allow what we have lived, celebrated and sung to touch us again from within, to reconnect us with gratitude, with shared faith and with the first fire that gave rise to the journey. These songs of the beatification have echoes of joy, dedication and hope, and listening to them today help us to relive the profound experience of knowing that we are called, accompanied and sent.

That is why we begin this project by sharing two CDs of the beatification of Mother Candida and Antoñita:
– “Si yo pudiera llegar a todos” (If I could reach everyone) by the group Anawin (1996)
– “Dios lo quiere” (God wills it).

You can find them on our Youtube channel ( @HijasdeJesúsenelmundo) , by clicking on the album covers you can access the complete playlist:

We invite you to share, to listen, to enjoy… and to let ourselves be touched once again by these songs that continue to speak of life, surrender and trust in God. Let us continue to live this Ordinary Time in depth and connection, letting music also help us to pray, to remember and to walk together.
