In the constellation of Catholic Education, the Daughters of Jesus bring the light of St. Candida’s charism.

In the context of World Catholic Education Day 2026, the Daughters of Jesus join the whole Church in renewing a commitment that comes from the deepest part of our identity: to educate as a concrete way of participating in the mission of Jesus and collaborating in the construction of a more human and fraternal world.

For us, education is not only a task, but the root of our being that is expressed in the encounter, discernment and integral growth of our students. From our educational tradition, we seek to put the person at the center, to accompany processes and generate spaces where fraternity, justice and an active hope that translates into commitment are lived. Thus, as Mother Candida dreamed, we strive to make our educational works safe and inclusive, true homes where the values of the Gospel can be breathed.

Educating is an act of hope

In line with the Global Education Pactwe remain committed to an education that listens, cares and builds community. We feel called to work together with others – educators, families and communities – convinced that education is a choral work that builds bridges of dialogue and service, especially where life is most fragile and in need of opportunities. We also assume Pope Leo XIX’s three priorities1 1 : educating the interior life, generating a more humane digital world and building peace, which form a global educational constellation.

Today, in a world marked by challenges, inequalities and uncertainties, we reaffirm our conviction that educating is an act of hope that opens paths and generates the future. Our schools and educational projects aim to be spaces where social responsibility, sensitivity to the most vulnerable and care for the common home are cultivated, forming people capable of looking at reality in depth, committing to it and improving it.

Mission to educate

Grateful for the mission we have received, we renew our desire to continue educating from the Gospel, driven by the certainty that “with God we can do anything”, we form this educational constellation that does not change the world, but the children and young people who will change the world.
