On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and coinciding with the 154th anniversary of the foundation of our Congregation, it fills us with joy to share the good news that is both gift and promise. With gratitude to God, we announce that Antonia Du, postulant of the East Asia Province has been admitted to the Novitiate stage.
A shared celebration
The celebration took place at the novitiate in Manila, Philippines, where the postulant of the East Asia Province is making her formative journey. There, accompanied by the novitiate community – composed of three novices, three postulants and three perpetually professed sisters –she lived the moment of her admission with serenity and joy.
The Novice Mistress, Elisa Huang FI, was responsible for admitting her to the novitiate. In this simple and profound celebration, she was given the Constitutions and a crucifix, profound signs of identity, following and belonging to the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus.
A moment for testimony
Antonia Du, shares her experience:
What a special and grace-filled day! Today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. 154 years ago, on a day like today, Mother Foundress Candida Maria de Jesus founded the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus. Today, 154 years later, I become a novice of the Daughters of Jesus.
I thank God for calling me to follow him in the Congregation! As I prepared to receive the Constitutions, I could not help but get excited and think: I have really made it this far!
God’s grace is immense. Although I am extremely weak and limited, He wants to accomplish all this. I ask God for the grace to be able to follow Him in my future religious journey with the same humility and fidelity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
We remain united in praying for vocations
We invite all communities to continue to pray with confidence for vocations, so that the Lord may continue to accompany and strengthen each path of dedication.
May the Immaculate Virgin, whom we recently celebrated, always be the guide and protection for those who respond generously to the Lord’s call.
