Dec 16, 2025 | Communication, fi, News

A congregational time for welcoming and deepening

In this congregational time in which we find ourselves, immersed in the process of welcoming the GC XIX Determination in a cordial way, we are discovering the importance of having concrete aids to support this journey. Together with the guides who accompany us, we also recognize the richness of a spiritual patrimony that has been the fruit of research, work, prayer and discernment of so many sisters throughout our history.

Caring for and sharing our spiritual heritage

In continuity with previous entries –Caring for and sharing our documents II y Caring for and sharing our documents: new resources on the Web-we continue to take steps to care for, preserve and make available to all those materials that help us to deepen our identity and mission.

A document to deepen our charismatic identity

One of these fruits of our spiritual heritage is the work that we present today in a new PDF version: “Enlightenment on Christocentrism and Sonship”.

This document was prepared to deepen and clarify two fundamental aspects of the charismatic identity of the Daughters of Jesus – Christocentrism and filiation –in the context prior to the XII General Chapter.

It was written by Sisters Inés Laso FI and María del Pilar Linde FI and published in April 1983. At the time, this work was a great help in understanding our charismatic identity and the Constitutions, and it continues to be a valuable reference today.

A new digital version at the service of all

The version we share now, digitized by our sister Lucía Cantalapiedra FI, to whom we are deeply grateful for this service. Thanks to this work, the document can be hosted on the web with a better reading quality.

In addition, a hyperlinked index has been incorporated to facilitate access to the different sections, together with a simple home page, designed to facilitate personal and community use.

A resource for today of our congregational calling

Today, in this congregational call to recreate our being, having as a basis the GC XIX Determination “I wish to be called Daughters of Jesus”, this document can help us a lot if we take it in our hands, in our hearts, in reflection and in prayer.

Its deep roots in our charismatic identity, from the features of Christocentrism and filiation, invite us to return to the essential, to let ourselves be enlightened and to continue walking with hope, fidelity and trust.
