II Sunday of Lent

Feb 27, 2026 | Communication, Liturgia – oración, News

God continues to call. In this Word, vocation resounds strongly as a gift and a call, not because we are perfect, but because he loves us and trusts us, just as we are, and invites us to renew our confidence that the Lord continues to call us today, even to the consecrated life. God’s call is always his initiative and a free gift. It is not born of our merits, but of his faithful love. God calls, enlightens and sustains us in the midst of life’s difficulties. Vocation is an invitation to live with meaning, to discover that our life can be a response to a greater dream. Responding to God’s call leads to fullness of life.

To accompany young people’s vocational searches and their vocational processes is to help them discover God’s dream for each life, even in the midst of effort and uncertainty. To accompany, to listen to their questions and to walk with them is an essential task of the Church. Lent encourages us to listen again to the voice of God who calls and to walk with others in that discernment.

This Lent, we renew our confidence that God continues to sow calls that lead to fullness of life.

God saved us and called us

Dear brother: Take part in the hard labors of the Gospel, according to the power of God. He saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of our merits, but because, from time immemorial, God arranged to give us His grace, through Jesus Christ; and now, that grace has been manifested by the appearance of our Savior Jesus Christ, who destroyed death and brought immortal life to light, through the Gospel. 2 Tim 1:8b-10

Priority: Awakening to the call: a path to happiness and meaning.

With deep trust in the Lord, who continues to call young people to the Congregation, we encourage all provinces to strengthen with creativity and commitment projects and itineraries of explicit vocation ministry. Our goal is to accompany the young women in their discernment, helping them to clarify the dream that God has for their lives and to discover that it can be fulfilled by being Daughters of Jesus. Question for discernment

How are we creating spaces and processes that help young women to listen to God’s call and to discover that in it lies a path of happiness and meaning?
