It is the beginning of a very special month for the Daughters of Jesus and, if possible, this year even more so. December begins with the meeting of Provincial Superiors in Rome, a long-awaited event after years of not being able to attend it in person. Ten days of formation and joint reflection to deal with issues that affect the whole congregation.
On the 8th we celebrated the Immaculate Conception and the anniversary of the foundation of the Congregation. 151 years have already passed since Mother Candida founded the Daughters of Jesus trusting that she was undertaking “what God wants”, together with five companions and the help of Father Herranz in Salamanca. 151 years following the light of Mary and transmitting Jesus, our Father.
We continue to celebrate Advent, which renews us each year, introduces us to Christmas and prepares us anew for the Nativity of the Lord.
And we also begin December with a very special countdown. These last few days we have shared different questions on social networks to reflect and share thoughts:
– Have you ever stopped to think about the challenges posed by the digital world in which we live? How are you in this “new world”?
– What does it mean to you to be a Daughter of Jesus?
– What is our way of being in the world?
There is a reason for all this, and that is that soon we will take a new step to be more united in the distance, to be more in tune with the present. Without losing sight of the previous steps, and with the batteries charged for the 150th anniversary, we have looked inwards and to the world to adapt ourselves to the day to day, to the present. For the moment we can’t tell you more, but we invite you to follow our social networks (Facebook and Twitter) and to keep an eye on this website to find out what it’s all about.
