We continue walking in this Holy Week. After having entered with Jesus on Palm Sunday, allowing ourselves to be touched by his humility, and after having learned yesterday to to love without calculation and to care for the fragiletoday the path takes us one step further inward: to the heart.
This day invites us to let Jesus look at us with truth.
He knows the frailties of his friends and yet he does not cease to trust and love them. So it is also with us. Conversion begins when we dare to place ourselves before his gaze, without masks, knowing that in him we always find mercy.
At this time, we are called to allow ourselves to be transformed by the profound experience that “God is the Father who cares for all” and thus to respond better to the world (GC XIX), allowing his light to reach those corners of our lives that need to be healed.
Therefore, today we ask ourselves with sincerity:
What part of my life needs more light?
What would I like Jesus to free me from today?
What do I need to change in me to care more for life?
Perhaps the first step is simple, but profound: give yourself a moment of silence, even if it is only for a few minutes, and ask for light. Let Him speak to your heart.
And from there, we pray: Lord, transform our hearts.
