In continuity with previous entries –Caring for and sharing our documents II and Caring for and sharing our documents III– we continue to take steps to care for, preserve and make available to anyone who wishes, those materials that help us to deepen our identity and mission as Daughters of Jesus. They are simple gestures, but full of meaning: to guard the spiritual heritage as a grateful memory and, at the same time, to offer it as a light for the present and the future.
In this Ordinary Timewhich is not a lesser time, but the daily space where faith becomes life, these resources are offered to us as an invitation to walk more deeply. It is in the ordinary that what is celebrated takes root, where the Word heard slowly penetrates the heart and guides our daily choices. Also our history, read with attention and care, helps us to live with greater creative fidelity to the mission we have received.
New materials available
On this occasion, we are making available three new materials that enrich our life and mission: :
- La Madre Cándida, directed and directed byby María del Carmen Cruz Tapia, FI. 1995
- From intuition… to life. From yesterday to today in the educational mission of the Daughters of Jesus in Spain. Beatriz Macarro FI. Valladolid 2002
- The Daughters of Jesus: the present and the origins. Celia Amorós FI. 3 January 2015
Taking care of and sharing these materials is also a way of continuing to touch our life and charism from the simple and profound, from what has been lived and reflected on by other sisters; it is to live Ordinary Time with awareness, allowing ourselves to be challenged by history, being grateful for what we have received and renewing our desire to continue serving wherever we are sent. May this time help us to integrate memory and life, past and present, in order to continue proclaiming Jesus with simplicity, fidelity and hope.
