In continuity with the desire to care for and share our spiritual heritage, we continue to make available to all those songs that have accompanied significant moments in our recent history.
If on the previous occasion we shared the songs of the beatification of Mother Candida, today we take a new step and open a special space to remember and relive the canonization, through a very dear proposal: Juanitatxo – The Musical.
Juanitatxo – The Musical
In 2010, on the occasion of the canonization of Mother Candida, it was released Juanitatxo – The Musicalwith a libretto, music and songs by Manu Escudero, a lay member of the Mother Candida Family, very committed and identified with the charism, a teacher at the Jesuitinas School in Vigo. And it was represented, both musically and scenography, by Manu himself and members of the educational community of Miralba school (Jesuitinas Vigo).
During this course, more than 20 performances were held in different cities of Spain where Jesuit schools are present. In all of them, the public was able to vibrate with the live voices, a careful scenography and colorful choreographies, thus entering into the life and charism of the foundress of the Daughters of Jesus. During the canonization ceremonies in Rome: the vigil, the meeting at the General Curia and the Eucharist of thanksgiving, we were able to listen, sing, pray and celebrate with these beautiful live songs.
For some time now, a video has been available on Youtube that includes scenes from two performances in Vigo: the opening day (October 28, 2010, at the Salesianos cinema) and the closing performance of the tour (June 3, 2011, at the Auditorio Mar de Vigo).
