I CHOOSE WHAT’S NEW: LIFE

March 1, 2016

Lent is a time of change, of coming to realize what helps and what does not lead us to the encounter with God and with our brothers. It’s a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME opportunity and gives us a LIFETIME OF OPPORTUNITIES. Therefore, Lent is when we make exterior changes that reflect our inner changes. Because something new is being born and we want to choose that new thing: LIFE.

Today, Tuesday, March 1, of the Third Week of Lent, we begin a new, more current, more modern, more vital way among all. Our new international web wants to be a space from all and for all, an ecclesial space, an Ignatian space, a space for the family of Mother Candida. Here we are ready to walk together and to feel the apostolic body of the Daughters of Jesus which journeys through 19 countries.

So many experiences in our history in the month of March: Maria Antonia Bandres FI, patroness of our formation, was born; we opened schools, we reached new countries, we started different services.

And our Church celebrates March 19, the day of St. Joseph. In addition, the International Women’s Day, World Water Day and many more important dates.

We gather history, the lives of others, to learn. We welcome the present with enthusiasm, realism and faith and we look to the future with hope. So together we pray Psalm 25 to the Father:

Make known to me your ways, LORD;

teach me your paths.

Guide me by your fidelity and teach me,

for you are God my savior…

Remember your compassion and your mercy,

O LORD, for they are ages old….

Remember me according to your mercy,

because of your goodness, LORD.

Good and upright is the LORD,

therefore he shows sinners the way,

He guides the humble in righteousness,

and teaches the humble his way.

(We thank the “SJ Oficina Digital” of the “Grupo de Comunicación Loyola”, for their work and service. A group of people who want to open virtual paths in the Church. THANK YOU!)
