APPOINTMENT OF SECRETARY GENERAL
Graciela has appointed Sr. Gloria Albiac as the new Secretary General. She will begin her service on the 12th September.
Ana Mª Baeza, the present secretary, will continue in the Curia House as Superior.
SENDING OF SR. MATILDE POLANCO
The Superior General says in her letter:
Now that the process of the laity in Venezuela has been orientated and directed, I have sent Matilde from the Province of Andean America to the Province of Brazil-Caribbean, specifically to the Dominican Republic.
How much we have to thank Matilde for! Her generous, available and affectionate dedication to the suffering reality of Venezuela; her constant encouragement, her spiritual disposition, her passion for the Kingdom. Let us not forget that Matilde was alone in Venezuela for more than two years, but without doubt she has had an experience of the Body which she has passed on to us in many ways. Here we see how important it is to be united in spirit, beyond our physical presence. Sometimes situations arise which, although they are not what we want, are what we can experience. But if our being a Daughter of Jesus and our belonging are strongly rooted, this is carried with charismatic elegance. Thank you, dear Matilda!
She ends this letter by recommending to our prayers the journeys and visits of these two months (from 10 to 14 July she is visiting the International Novitiate of Cordoba -Argentina- and, from the 28th and during the whole month of August, she will make the canonical visit to the communities of Brazil).
And he bids farewell…
with the wish that we may remain united in our daily dedication to the Lord and to our brothers and sisters.
