The Community of the Curia of Rome bade farewell to Jesusa Rubio yesterday after 45 years of service in those lands. Jesusa has just been assigned to Spain and today she travels to Madrid. The sisters in her community write these words of farewell.
JESUSA, THANK YOU …
Words fail to express everything that the heart feels and a very big THANKS springs from within.
A word to condense so many years of life and journey through the lands of Rome. Forty-five years in which you have given your life to the service of the Kingdom and the entire Congregation.
Your discreet, available and friendly presence is perceived in the little ways with which you have taken care of the work entrusted. Thank you for your dedication and silent self-giving. You are leaving a gap that can hardly be filled.
Like Mary, you have received God’s call with an attentive and docile heart and now you abandon yourself, with total trust, into the Father’s hands.
Today, Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, we ask her to continue to accompany you in this new stage that you are beginning as well as in every moment of your life.
With much affection, your Community
