“It is difficult to greet at Christmas when the whole world has been affected by a pandemic for almost a year, with what it means of pain, death, poverty and when we ourselves have been touched by it,” the sisters of the General Government tell us in their Christmas greeting this year.
And they remind us that “God did not come to us in the best conditions; he did not wait to become one of us for the world to respond to what He Himself had dreamed for His children.”
Our feast and our hope is that God is with us, that God comes to her children without setting conditions. Is this for us reason enough to celebrate? Do we need anything else?
