The Notiandina is here with all the news of the America Andina Province of the month of October!
Latin America is in luck! In the month of October, seven new saints for the Church were canonized, two of them from the South American subcontinent: Mother Nazaria Ignacia of Saint Teresa of Jesus, first Bolivian saint and Monsignor Oscar Romero.
The Daughters of Jesus in Bolivia were able to accompany the anniversary of the FAVAC Foundation, in Regadero.
On October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron of Ecology and Peace, was celebrated. In line with this feast the Queen of Peace School invites us to commit to reducing the use of plastic – “Let’s do a little awareness exercise at least … where we go, let’s see if there is plastic. Let’s pick it up. Let’s put these products in separate recycling bins for this. If I do not have them, let us place them at home, in the community, in the apostolic work and let us help toward their correct use.”
Also in the Notiandina they bring us a summary of the Synod on Young People, which was attended by María Luisa Berzosa, FI and a biographical sketch about Romero written by the Jesuit Víctor Codina, SJ entitled “Oscar Romero, a life at the service of Jesus. ” In regard to the synod, we also find the interview that the Zenit news agency made to Berzosa.
In La Plata, Argentina, the National Meeting of Adolescent Leaders FI 2018 has been held. In the October Notiandina several testimonies of young adolescents who have participated in it are collected.
In Cochabamba, Bolivia, on the other hand, the 2nd Encounter of Management Teams took place, whose objective on this occasion was to sensitize them to a better handling of Institutional Management, focusing on the identity and charism of the Daughters of Jesus.
We also summarize this month the chronicle of the canonical visit of the Provincial to the community of Córdoba, Argentina.
