Oct 28, 2024 | FASFI, General government, News

On Friday, October 25, the Superior General, Graciela Francovig, accompanied by the General Councilor, Sônia Regina Rosa, visited the central office of FASFI in Madrid. It was a day to share the work being done by the Foundation, which belongs to the general level of the Congregation.

To this end, Blanca Esther Iriartepresident of the Board of Trustees, Pablo Zimmermann, director of FASFI, Ana MuñozProjects Manager, and Beatriz Concejo, in charge of the areas of Communication, Awareness and Volunteering, showed the work they have done since 2019, when the Foundation was professionalized, focusing mainly on progress and points of innovation.

Each year, FASFI promotes about 20 cooperation projects in places where the Daughters of Jesus are present. As they say: “they are our eyes and our hands on the ground”. From these projects, the other three work axes are articulated: communication, to give voice to these situations and to be a loudspeaker for the many people they accompany, awareness-raisingmainly in the schools of the Fundación Educativa Jesuitinas de España, and volunteer work. volunteeringa program that gives people the opportunity to take part in one of these projects.

This meeting, finally in person, means continuing to work on “Solidarity Aid”, an essential part that gives the foundation its name and defines the Daughters of Jesus. New ideas, desires and hopes to work in a coordinated way and with the same objective: “to reach the end of the world”.
