I visited the international juniorate in Granada in October, as planned. I was accompanied by Sonia Regina Rosa. We had a few days for personal interviews, a community meeting and another with the formation community. Sonia also took the opportunity to visit and get to know the apostolate of the junior sisters and perpetual sisters. The junior sisters are involved in their personal and formative processes. They express gratitude to the Congregation for all that is offered to them.
I greatly appreciated the fraternal relationship among them, an international, intercultural and intergenerational community. They confirmed to me that it is possible to live healthy bonds of help among us, of support, of going out of ourselves, of saving the proposal of our neighbor. I thank the Lord for this international juniorate, which was conceived in this way and which we still have to continue to build. As we go along, we are discovering aspects that need to be reflected upon and discerned. I also express my deep gratitude, of course, to the Mistress of Juniors, who gives herself “with soul, life and heart”. Likewise, to the other perpetuals who make up the formation community. We are formed more by what we see living than by the theory we learn, although theory is very necessary! Thank you, Sisters, for your good witness and your daily work with which you contribute to the good being of the Body. Let us all continue to pray for our formandi and formators.
We also had a meeting in Madrid with FASFI staff. We have been attentive to their presentation and innovative dynamics. There are aspects that need to be further deepened in our today to ensure that FASFI continues to maintain the purpose for which it was created.
I thanked the Lord for the help we can offer to each other and, reciprocally, to the whole world. We remember, once again, that we are all children and brothers and sisters.
