Canonical visit of Mother General, Graciela Francovig in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental, Mindanao.
On the first Sunday of this month, August 6, our Mother General, Sr Graciela, along with her councilor, Sr. Teresa, arrived in El Salvador accompanied by our Provincial, Sr. Lynn. The place is the first stage of her 3-part visit. It was a day filled with joy as the community welcomed them to Misamis Oriental. On their way to El Salvador, they immediately saw the great ocean covered by the bright sun and the mountains as well, as if together with the sisters, creation was embracing and rejoicing with their arrival.
In the afternoon, the individual interviews began and we ended the day with the Eucharistic celebration.
The brief but meaningful visit of our sisters increased our sense of belonging and greater hope for our mission here. A renewed zeal filled our hearts as we collaborated with our Lord in His work of salvation in this holy place.
