Getting to know us (VI)

We move forward in the GC and we move forward in letting you get to know us. Today is the turn of Leoly Quitorio, Sônia Maria Soares and Beatriz Neff.



Leoly Quitorio is from the Philippines. It belongs to the Indico-Pacific Province. She is currently sent to the community of Manila-Parañaque. She is the superior of the community. She is a provincial counselor and member of the Province’s Formation Team. She works in the pastoral and spiritual accompaniment of the youth and teachers of Manresa school.

It is the first time that she participates in a General Congregation.

Leoly likes to accompany people in their personal and spiritual process.

She dreams of a world of fraternity, peace and solidarity.

And she is in love with God, with Life and with Jesus, compassionate and merciful.





Sônia Maria Soares is from Brazil, and belongs to the Brazil-Caribbean Province.

She is at present sent to the community of São Paulo, which is composed of the houses of Mogi Mirim, Campinas and Bragança Paulista. She is the superior of the community. She is part of  the team on spirituality of the region of Brazil.

She participates in the General Congregation for the 3rd time.

She likes the everyday, having coffee in good company and with a good conversation, contemplating the moon and walking at night.

Sonia Maria is a lover of kindness, believes that more benevolence would enable a better, more human world. It is inspired by Jesus who spent his life doing good.



Beatriz Neff Atance is from Spain, from the Province of Spain-Italy. She currently works at the Stella Maris School, as a teacher and as coordinator of Evangelizing Action. She is the superior of the community of Almería, composed of the houses of Piedras Redondas and Roquetas de Mar.

This is her first 1st General Congregation.

She likes to walk, to do the Camino de Santiago, go to the mountains, to make bread (she is learning), write, and breathe, look, listen, feel …

Her dream is that we all feel as daughters and brothers of the same earth, without borders. And in fact, we feel the earth.


Beatriz says that she is passionate about discovering God in every corner, in every moment, in every face, in every occasion. Especially where it seems that He is not there.
