The Holy See has designated a series of Jubilee Days throughout 2025 to recognize and celebrate different groups of people and various ministries of the Church. Since the beginning of this time, and throughout this year 2025, we are living a Jubilee year full of meetings and celebrations. Among others… we accompanied young people in their pilgrimage to the places of St. Candida and participation in Rome in the
Different celebrations, same spirit.
Now is the time to celebrate “our” Jubilee, that of that style of life, identity and belonging, which we are in the Church and the world, the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, under the motto: “Pilgrims of hope, on the way of peace.”
This time of grace can be celebrated in many ways, according to the possibilities of each community. We can join local pilgrimages, participate in a special Eucharist, dedicate a moment of community prayer, pass through the holy door of a Jubilee temple in your city, or do a spiritual reading on the theme of consecrated life. The important thing is that, wherever we are, we join the consecrated life of the whole world in the same spirit of gratitude, hope and peace.
We are invited to contemplate the three great horizons that the Church proposes to us for this Jubilee:
- Commitment to the last, listening to the cry of the poor.
- Care and stewardship of creation, protecting our common home.
- Universal fraternity, living solidarity as a way of life.
Prayer subsidy
To help us live this Jubilee of Consecrated Life, we offer a prayer aid prepared especially for our communities. In it you will find an Ignatian prayer that can be guided, and in it, a text of the Word, reflection, songs, space to pray and share, gestures…
This aid also wants to remind us that, beyond the external form of the celebration, the essential thing is to prepare our inner self to receive the grace of the Jubilee. Whether we go on pilgrimage or not, we are called to let the Lord renew in us the joy of consecration and the desire to walk together “on the way of peace.
Share how you celebrate the Jubilee
We want this time of grace to be visible: if your community celebrates the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, send us photos of your moments of prayer, pilgrimage and/or celebration. You can do it to the e-mail: [email protected]
In a special way, dedicate some moments of this week to thank and pray for the religious women who have accompanied you in your faith journey. If you can, take advantage of this week to thank them or remember them with affection.
Together, we will make this Jubilee a sign of hope and peace that unites the entire Mother Candida Family.
