Blessed Mª Antonia Bandrés (Antoñita)
Blessed María Antonia Bandrés y Elósegui, was born on March 6, 1898 in Tolosa (Guipúzcoa). She entered the Novitiate of the Daughters of Jesus in Salamanca on December 8, 1915 and died there on April 27, 1919, after having offered her life for the salvation of her baptismal sponsor.
She was beatified in Rome on May 12, 1996, together with the Foundress of the Congregation, now Saint Candida Maria de Jesus.
Because of her youth and her strong sense of solidarity, Antoñita is the patroness of the Daughters of Jesus in initial formation and a model of life for the Daughters of Jesus Solidarity Aid Foundation(FASFI).
