We have walked together this Holy Week: entering with Jesus, learning to love without calculation, allowing ourselves to be transformed by his gaze, rebuilding bonds, serving with humility, standing by the cross and nurturing hope in silence. And today, finally, life bursts forth with strength.
The stone has been removed. Life DOES have the last word.
Easter is not only an event that we celebrate, it is a new life that is given to us and that sends us back into the world. Wherever we are, we are called to take care of life, to recognize it, to accompany it and to make it grow.
Because resurrection begins in the small: in a gesture, in a word, in a presence that uplifts and encourages.
Today this call resounds loudly: to encourage life where we are (GCXIX)
And we ask ourselves:
Where do I discover signs of new life today?
Perhaps the gesture is simple, but full of light: to share with someone a message of hope, to be bearers of the life we have received.
And from there, we pray: Lord, make us witnesses of your life.
