World Youth Day 2023 has been an exceptional event that has left an indelible mark in the hearts of thousands of young pilgrims from all over the world. The Daughters of Jesus from different parts of the world accompanied the young people of the Mother Candida family in this exciting meeting. We are happy to have been an active part of this experience, sharing unforgettable moments that have enriched both the participants and the Congregation.
The largest WYD in history has been much more than an event; it has been a catalyst for change, a unifier of cultures and a reminder of the transformative power of faith. We have created spaces for reflection that have allowed young people to connect with themselves and their spirituality. These moments of calm and prayer provided a necessary balance, inviting introspection and a personal encounter with faith.
Pope Francis closed these days with a mass attended by one and a half million young people to whom he dedicated his homily and highlighted three ideas to take home: shine, listen and not be afraid.
Although WYD 2023 has come to an end, we remain committed to the mission of guiding and accompanying youth on their spiritual and personal journey. The values shared and the experiences lived during the WYD will continue to be a source of inspiration in the journey of each participant.
See you in Seoul 2027!
